Rejection Distractions - a "tweet-stealing" poem....

Okay, so here is the deal, I grabbed a word that stood out from the last ten "tweets" that floated into my gully over there, and well, lets see what you think... The red words were the ones I had to use.

The monster had too many distractions
be it the erupting underground volcano
or the Halfbreed Rodeo raging downstairs
The dejection from his recent rejection
used its heel to crush him
even lower than the worms hatching
deep inside his rotten, slimy guts
where bacteria lived a wild nightlife
hanging in polyamorous minglings of lust
despite the consumption of spicy foods
that normally kept such at bay
so he wound down his life
with one last horrid thought inside
that skull decorated with many spikes
at least the wife was clueless
that he had tried publishing again
the lust poem he wrote her
after stealing the maiden that night
away from the village of fools
who thought he desired sacrificial food
when he merely wanted an editor.
