Well, took a day off of Billenius Chapter 12 edit/rewrite to deal with reality (spiked my normal count on job apps) and to retouch a Troy Tanner tale for shopping for print...
Shoot me. At least I ain't watching Anime today... that comes after 5 as a breather.
One thing I am learning is the chainsaw, while a good tool for editing, has to be set aside, and quite a bit of hand sanding, putty working and varnish go on a good finished tale. Bill's last few edits aside, the chainsaw has been my main tool, or the backhoe and dump truck to trash complete works and start over.
Each step I take, I wind up reading the fixes solo, then in context of the section, then the whole. Time consuming, pain in the neck, and a tobacco and coffee intensive thing for me. Where to lay the sandpaper, how hard to grind it, which cracks add character to the grain of the story, those that need filling, come easier, but still tough to do.
So, if you see the hat billowing smoke, assume its the pipe, pray it ain't the brain blowing a coolant leak, and give me space for a few.
Thanks...
